Today it was a kind of crazy but hilarious day. To start off with Tracy and I woke up late. We got up at 8:20 a.m. and had to be downstairs eating breakfast before 9 a.m. So we rushed just like yesterday and ran downstairs to eat breakfast. I ate toast, a banana, orange juice and little breads filled with cream cheese. After breakfast 3 of us grabbed a cab to the university and Raul took the other three. In class we just went over a few chapters. After class we went to banco do brasil because we needed money and i had to exchange my travelers checks and OMG the bank didn't change them. They send us to the nacional Banco do Brasil, which is the main bank in Brazil. There we waiting probably around 20 minutes and finally after signing my life away, pretty much, I was able to cash my checks. I was a bit upset because how the heck do they not change travelers checks in any bank it makes no sense. Anyways, so then Raul and I walked down to meet the others and two of our classmates decided to leave and explore downtown Brazil. So we had to wait for them until they came back and Raul was not very happy with that.
Finally, we walked a few blocks to Estacao das Docas.

We ate at the same buffet from yesterday which was delicious. After we ate and took a lot of pictures, we took a cab to a 17th century church that is now used as a venue for different events. It was amazing but we were not allowed to take pictures due to copyright problems. The church was made out of brick and mortar and they used fishes as glue to paste the bricks. After the church we went to another small museum where there was a lot of different artifacts from indigenous brazilians, but we couldn't take pictures either. But we took a lot of pictures outside the museum.

The skies in Belem are beautiful and the grass is so vividly green, its amazing. However, the city is very poor and the divers are nuts. Basically, you have to run to get to the other side and pray no one will hit you. They don't stop for pedestrians so you have calculate when to run across.

At around 4 ish we were back at the hotel. We relaxed for a while, showered and got ready to go out with our brazilian friend Gabih.
She met us at the hotel and brought her two friends Christian and Vanessa.
We took two cabs and headed over back to Estacao das docas. We ate at some fancy restaurant that charged us for the music they were playing lol.

After, we headed to Amazon beer, which is a brewery inside of estacao das dacas. The beer was delicious and it was very cheap as well. It was a bit difficult to communicate with our brazilian friends but we just laughed it off but we also used a dictionary a couple of times.

Today was filed with a lot of surprises but also with a lot of fun and heat oh and rain!
Brazil is not what i expected, it's so much more. :)
